Paris 2024 Olympic Games Will Broadcast on DISH Network

Getting excited for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games? The ‘City of Light’ will be shining bright with talented athletes from all over competing for the gold [1].
More than 200 countries will compete in this major worldwide sports event. But you don’t need to hop on a plane to Paris to catch all the action. DISH and DishLATINO will bring you courtside seats right at home.
The 2024 Paris Olympics kick off on July 26 with an outdoor Opening Ceremony along the Seine River [2]. The top medal events will take place during the afternoon for us here on Eastern Time since Paris is six hours ahead.
DISH Brings Sports Action in Any Language
You can tune into NBC in English or Telemundo in Spanish to watch the ceremonies and competitions. NBC’s streaming platform Peacock will also have coverage.
NBC plans to air at least nine hours of events during daytime each day, including live finals, so you won’t miss any of the excitement thanks to your satellite TV provider.
Be sure to catch swimming finals daily at 2:30 pm ET, except on the last day, which will be at a different time. Check out gymnastics finals between 6 am and 12:15 pm and track & field finals at 1 pm, except for marathons and race walks.
Enjoy other popular sports like basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, soccer, tennis, and many more.
Telemundo will have tons of Spanish coverage throughout the day, especially of men’s and women’s soccer. Their sister channel Universo will also provide additional cable coverage.
Telemundo was home to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics too, which was postponed to 2021 due to COVID-19. Still, TV viewers got to cheer on gold medals for the U.S., China, Japan, the Russian Olympic Committee, Australia, Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy and others despite the pandemic.
USA Dream Team at Paris
Gymnastics phenom Simone Biles, one of the greatest American gymnasts ever, is aiming for more gold [3]. She won four golds at the 2016 Rio Games in the individual all-around, vault, floor exercise, and team events. She also brought home a bronze medal on the balance beam. At the 2019 World Championships, Biles grabbed five more golds including another individual all-around title. She has many more career highlights and records in the bag too.
In Paris, Biles will make some daring moves to try breaking additional records.
Joining her is Suni Lee, who wowed audiences with all around gold Tokyo 2020, becoming the fifth straight American woman o earn that Olympic honor. Lee also won bronze or uneven bars and was part of the silver-medal winning U.S. team.
Top track and field athlete Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is another American star to watch [4]. She specializes in hurdles and sprints, winning Olympic gold and multiple world championships in the 400 meter hurdles.
In Tokyo, McLaughlin-Levrone claimed the title and set a new Olympic record. She followed up as the 2022 World Champion with a world record time of 50.68 seconds.
Competing in the same 400 meter hurdles event is newcomer Sha’Carri Richardson. While this will be her Olympic debut, Richardson shined as an NCAA track star at LSU with multiple titles showcasing her blazing speed.
On the men’s track and field side, catch Noah Lyles who brought bronze home for Team USA from Tokyo 2020. He now has an impressive six World Championship golds after winning the 100m, 200m and 4x100m races at the 2023 Worlds [5]. Lyles pulled off that difficult sprint treble last accomplished by Usain Bolt in 2015. The 200 meters is Lyles’ signature event where he displays strong technical skill and high energy.
For swimming, keep your eyes on Katie Ledecky and Caeleb Dressel [6]. Ledecky scored her first Olympic gold in the 800 meter freestyle as a 15 year old. Now with seven Olympic golds and three silvers, she holds world records in both the 800 and 1500 meter freestyle races. The veteran champ remains one of America’s top prospects in Paris.
As the heir to Michael Phelps’ throne, Dressel boasts seven Olympic golds including five from Tokyo 2020 alone. He has also crushed several World Championship records over the years in events like the 50 meter freestyle, 100 meter freestyle and 100 meter butterfly. His speed, endurance and versatility across strokes and distances cements his status as one of the world’s fastest.
Cheer on Your Home Country Loud and Proud
If you’re rooting for Hispanic athletes in Paris, here are some standouts.
Marathoner Citlali Cristian Moscote just re-qualified for Mexico by placing fourth in Seville, Spain with an impressive time of 2:24:53. That ranks her 94th globally among female marathon runners.
Middle-distance runner Laura Galván will also run under the Mexican flag. She specializes in the 800 meters, 1500 meters and 3000 meters races. Galván competed in Tokyo and came in 27th worldwide, carrying medal hopes to Paris after further training.
Artistic gymnast Alexa Moreno’s career will continue on the Olympic stage this summer. She made history for Mexico with a world championship bronze medal on vault in 2018. Now Moreno aims even higher, after barely missing the vault podium in fourth place at Tokyo 2020.
Another artistic gymnast to cheer for is Ahtziri Sandoval, the 2017 Pan American Champ on vault. She helped Mexico finish third in team action back in 2014 as well. With experience going back to age 5, expect big skills from Sandoval.
For diving, watch out for Alejandra Orozco and Gabriela Agúndez. Orozco won synchronized diving silver in London 2012 and has excelled since in international meets. Though Agúndez recently beat Orozco at the 2023 Pan Am Games, both divers hope to make waves for Mexico.

Puerto Rico clinched a women’s basketball berth against New Zealand and will also compete in boxing, wrestling, track and field, plus additional sports.
Over 3 dozen Colombian athletes earned trips to the Games, including race walkers Sandra Lorena Arenas and Éider Arévalo, artistic gymnast Luisa Blanco, boxer Valeria Arboleda and more.
Venezuela brings talent like swimmer Alfonso Mestre, shooter Leonel Martínez, triple jumper and world champ Yulimar Rojas, and boxer Omaylin Alcalá.
The Dominican Republic expects success in track and field, boxing and taekwondo.
